How much does your monitoring cost?

Starting at $18+ Tax a month and can go up from there depending on add ons to system

Do I have to sign a contract?

At our company, we don’t require our customers to sign any contracts. We have confidence in our service and have faith that our customers will choose to stay with us.

Do I get any discount for pre-paying on my account?

We offer a discount to our customers who choose to pay for the full year upfront. By doing so, they receive the 12th month of service for free.

Do you have any referral programs?

As a token of appreciation for spreading the word about Gurkin Security, we are pleased to offer our existing customers the opportunity to receive one month of free service when a friend, relative or neighbor activates their system with us. This offer can be combined with any other discounts that the customer may be eligible for.

Do I need an Alarm permit?

Yes, most cities have an alarm ordinance that requires you to register your system with the police department. Please get with your city on how to obtain your permit as every city is different. Once you receive your permit number please get it to us as soon as possible.

Do I need to have a phone line for my alarm to work?

No, if you decide that you do not wish to have a phone line in your home we offer a Wireless Communicator and Wi-Fi capabilities that send out the signals just like a phone line would.

How do I test my Security System?

Is your alarm system not working? Don’t worry! Follow the instructions below to test your system.

  1. Call the Monitoring Station at 972-792-1116 and tell them your account number or password and then tell them you want to put your system on test for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Then arm your alarm, as if you were leaving the house.
  3. Wait until the 60-second timer runs out.
  4. Open the door.
  5. Let the alarm sound for at least 60 seconds, and then turn off the alarm.
  6. Wait 3-4 minutes and then call the monitoring station back and give them your information again and ask them what they received from your account.
  7. If they state that they received a signal from your account then everything is working correctly.
  8. If they state that they did not receive anything from your account, call the business office at 940-498-1818 to schedule an appointment for one of the Technicians to come out and take a look at your alarm
